Major Rain Predicted

28 Apr

I’m dashing this off, super fast, before I bring my computer in for a little spa visit.  This means  I won’t have a computer till tomorrow afternoon!  I am sort of panicking already.  I’ll have the iPhone, of course, but I don’t have an iPad, so this is going to be an interesting day.  And night.  Wish me luck.  ‘Course what I’m really concerned about is that computer folks are not lying to me and I will be able to post tomorrow…

But before I go…the song!  Yes, the song!

The song for today is the extremely evocative “I Can’t Stand the Rain” by the great soul singer, Ann Peebles.  I actually can stand the rain – but only because it gives me the rather obvious chance to share this.

I Remember Paris

Gary Moore died yesterday, in a hotel room in Southern Spain.  I always wonder if airlines treat bodies any more carefully than they do regular luggage.  I’m hoping I never find out.

“Parisienne Walkways” is a great song about memories.  With amazing guitar licks, of course.  It features Phil Lynott, too.  I think it’s pretty special.  I just wish I hadn’t thought of it because of seeing a “R.I.P.”
