Is it just me or did girls actually look better in the ’60s? Or maybe just French girls? I mean you really only have to look at any Godard film and I’m pretty sure my theory is proven rather easily.
I’ve had the super catchy Serge Gainsbourg written track, “Laisse Tomber Les Filles” in my head since I woke up. It’s fun and bouncy and perfect for a lovely sunny day. It was recorded in 1964 by a then-17 year old France Gall and I guarantee you’ll have it in your head all day long as well.
I also love the video that was done for it. Her hair is totally messed up when she’s outside, but it doesn’t matter in the least. I guess she just has a certain je ne sais quoi.
