February 1.

1 Feb

When I was little, my father used to love singing along to Neil Diamond cassettes in the car and I would beg him to stop.  I complained and called Neil Diamond the “national punishment of Siberia” which not only doesn’t make sense, it also doesn’t apply at all. Today Neil Diamond is one of my all-time favorites….so much so that it was awfully hard to decide which song to post here.

My dad died 16 years ago today and so I see no better tribute than posting one of the classics, “I Am, I Said.” Plus that song has to do with New York & LA, so it fits on all sorts of levels.   If the written word is more your style, last year I posted this to mark the occasion.

Incidentally, today is also my one monthiversary of a download-a-day Margauxville. If you like it, please share it with your friends. If you hate it, share it with your enemies.
